Pan 2012 Day 3: Black Belt Absolute Quick report and picture Gallery
The third day of the Pan 2012 went down with a huge bang. Some great matches in the black belt absolute especially the semi finals. Marcos “Buchecha” v Kron Gracie was an old fashioned barn burner with the two guys attacking constantly and with little regard for anything else but a submission. Points were traded as were submission attempts until “Buchecha” got the tap via knee bar. This was a match to watch, going back to the days where submission was the goal (as the early days and the early 2000’s with “Margarida”, “Terere” and Garcia). Hope this is the way from now on.
The other semi was an upset as favorite Bernardo Farias fell to Antonio Carlos by points 4 x 2 in another super exciting match. I don’t know what Check Mat Team has been feeding these two but they are animals!
On the ladies side Alliance’s fab duo of Gabi Garcia and Luana Alzuguir closed out yet another absolute bracket continuing their dominance of the division
