A former professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter and the founder of legendaryMMA promotions such as RINGS and THE OUTSIDER, Akira Maeda, revealed that hewould be running for the House of Councilors next summer.
He will be one of the candidates representing the Democratic Party, which justended the 150-year regime of the Liberal Democratic Party, taking over the Japaneseparliament.
Maeda has been very vocal about him being a Korean citizen but recently heobtained his Japanese citizenship and that gave him the right to run for apublic political office position in Japan.
