Hello again wrestling fans!
Stop by Joe’s Knight Hawk Restaurant in Waverly, Iowa, on Tuesday, November 17for “Fight Night,” a pre-season wrestling social where several highschool and college coaches in Iowa discuss their teams for this season. It’s agreat event for all wrestling enthusiasts and the social hour begins at 5:00p.m.
You’re invited to our quarterly breakfast social on Friday, December 4, from8:00-9:00 a.m. at the wrestling museum. Jim Miller, legendary coach at WartburgCollege, will be the keynote speaker. The event is free and open to the public;please bring a friend and plan on attending!
The Dan Gable International Wrestling Institute and Museum will have amerchandise booth set up at the Knights Holiday Classic (kids tournament) in LaPorte City, Iowa on Saturday, November 28. Stop by and say hello if you’ll bethere.
A great opportunity exists for wrestling fans to see an international freestyledual meet on Wednesday, November 18 at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa,starting at 7:00p.m. Olympian Doug Schwab (pictured right) and a team from theUSA will wrestle a Russian National team. Tickets are only $10 for adults and $5for high school students and below.
The next Panther Wrestling Club meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 9that 7:00 p.m. at the Chuck Wagon restaurant in Cedar Falls. Help support the UNIPanthers!
