Although sparsely attended District Combat Production’s first show “Battle at the Capital” filled the holiday season gap for some of the up-and-comers in the Washington, DC area. Kyle Baker emerged with another win, his third of ’08, as he defeated James Cook by TKO in the second while fellow MMA Institute fighters Buck Grant and Beau Baker brought the team’s record this night to 3-3 with the two losses being against fighters from more established Team Renzo Gracie and Team Quest. Team Renzo Gracie finished the night unscathed at 2-0 on wins from Dave Branch and John Cholish. Team Quest’s Dave Jansen picked up a quick win however Zac George from TQ was replaced by Biff Walizer giving TQ a 1-0 for the night.
