Vissaginas, Lithuania, 21-23, November 2008.

Program:

Friday – 16:00-20:00 – Weight and Official Registration; 20:00-21:00 – referees seminar.
Saturday – Official Opening , fights of KEMPO K1 and SUBMISSION/GRAPPLING .
Sunday – fights of SEMI-CONTACT , KNOCKDOWN and MIX-CONTACT.

Participants:
Members of the International Kempo Federation and the World Universal Karate Federation

Unlimited number of participants from each team on a weight category.

Medical certification:
All fighters must have one not older than 6 months (only for fighting).

Liability:
All teams must sign a non warranty

Awards:

Fighters: 1 place – cup, medal, diploma; 2-3 places – medal, diploma.

Teams: 1-3 places – cup, diploma.

Registration fee : 20 EUR / competitor


Weight/Age Categories :
Male:
Juniors II (1994, 1993): -45, -50, -55, -60, +60 kg;
Juniors I (1992, 1991): – 58, -63, -69, -76, +76 kg;
Seniors (1990 and older): -63, -69, -76, -85, +85 kg.
Female:

Juniors (1993, 1992, 1991): -50, -58, -66 kg.
Seniors (1990 and older): -50, -58, -66 kg.

Fighting divisions:
Semi-contact : Juniors II
Knockdown : Juniors I and Seniors
Kempo K1, Mix-Contact, Submission/Grappling: Juniors II , Juniors I and Seniors

Accommodation:
Hotel Aukshtaitija – 35 EUR /Person/Day with breakfast.

Hostel – 12 EUR /Person/Day.

Application:
not later on OCTOBER, 20.

Each team should have a national flag and a hymn.

BRIEF RULES OF FIGHTING DIVISIONS
This event, being organized in a partnership between INTERNATIONAL KEMPO FEDERATION and WORLD UNIVERSAL KARATE FEDERATION, will use specifically rules from both federations as follows:

SEMICONTACT , KNOCKDOWN , KEMPO K1: IKF rules
SUBMISSION/GRAPPLING: IKF & WUKF rules
MIX-CONTACT: WUKF rules

MIX-CONTACT
( Brief Rules )

Time of groundfighting of 20 seconds. For performance of locks or strangulations 30 more seconds are added.

TIME OF FIGHT:
Juniors II and Juniors I : 3 minutes
Seniors : 4 minutes

PROHIBITED (kinshi-waza):

 – attacks to groin, spine and neck; 
 – attacks by a head; 
 – attacks by elbow and a knee to a head; 
 – kicks if the opponent is on the ground; 
 – locks to the fingers, spine and foot; 
 – to press by fingers, palm or elbow, foot or knee of the face; 
 – captures of fingers, ears, hair and groin;
– punches in the groundfighting (only for female);
 – other not-sportsmanlike actions. 

PERMITTED:

 – punches and kicks to a head, a torso and legs; 
 – grappling; 
 – groundfighting and groundgrappling; 
 – punches in the groundfighting (only for male); 
 – punches by elbows and knees only to a torso;  
 – throws; 
 – holds the opponent on the ground (osae-komi wadza); 
 – locks to arms and legs, strangulations.

IPPON (WIN A VICTORY):

 – lock or strangulation, in case of submission; 
 – knockout; 
 – when an opponent refuse to fight; 
 – 2 knockdowns.

VICTORY BY POINTS:

Yuko – (2 points):
– knockdown;
– kick in head; 

– large throw of a opponent’s on the back or side; 
– holds of a opponent’s on the ground (osae-komi) 10 seconds (but no more than two times for a fights). 

Koka – (1 point):
– kick in body;
– punch; 

– small throw of a opponent’s on the back or side; 
– going behind of the opponent to the him a back (only for groundgrappling).

SUBMISSION/GRAPPLING
( Brief Rules )

TIME OF FIGHTS:
Juniors II and I : 4 minutes;
Seniors : 5 minutes.

UNIFORM:
Keikogi for Karate , Kempo , Judo …..

PROHIBITED (kinshi-waza):
– punch, kick; 
– locks to the fingers, spine, foot; 

– to press or concern to the face with fingers, palm or elbow, foot or knee; 

– captures of fingers, ears, hair, groin; 
– other not-sportsmanlike actions. 

PERMITTED:
– takedown (nage wadza); 
– groundgrappling (katame-waza); 

– holds the opponent on the ground (osae-komi wadza); 
– locks to arms and legs (kansetsu wadza), strangulations (sime wadza). 

Ippon (win a victory):

– lock or strangulation, in case of submission; 
– when an opponent cannot to continue grappling; 

– when an opponent refuse grappling; 

– when the sportsman have on 10 points more, than the opponent. 

VICTORY BY POINTS:

Yuko – (2 points):

– large takedown of a opponent’s on the back or side (nage wadza); 
– holds of a opponent’s on the ground (osae-komi) 10 sec. 

– mount position. 
– passing guard. 

Koka – (1 point):

– low takedown of a opponent’s on the back or side (nage wadza); 
– going behind of the opponent to the him a back (only for groundgrappling). 

– knee on stomach; 
– sweep.
