King Abdallah II attends Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu graduation
Amman Jordan- His Majesty King Abdallah II attended the first Army Jiu-Jitsu graduation of 40 of its members. The celebration was held in one of the Army bases in the northern part of Jordan. All 40 army members recieved blue belts and 10 were awarded instructors certificates for army training course. The program designed by Jordanian Armed Forces Consultant, Black Belt Zaid Mirza, and consisted of 5 hours of daily training for a period of 10 months. His Majesty King Abdallah was very pleased and impressed with the accomplishment and dedication of the group which also held a 20 minute demonstration of the gentle art showcasing its effectivness in different conditions.
Approximately 3000 army members attended the festival which was the headline news in alll major TVs and Newspapers.
BRASA BJJ in Malasia
Since middle of February, Black belt Leo Castello Branco and Marcos Escobar have been conducting classes in Kuala Lumpur . First American Cup Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournament
May 17 & 18, 2008 – Los Gatos High School

Registration is now open for the First American Cup Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Tournament, and the deadline for early registration is rapidly approaching!. This exciting tournament will be held at Los Gatos High School, 20 High School Court, Los Gatos, CA 95030 located just minutes from the San Jose Airport !
On Saturday May 17, 2008 the first day of the tournament, is exclusively for kids aged 4-15 regardless of belt color. The cost for kids early registration prior to Thursday May 8th is $45.00 USD. From May 9 – 11, 2008, registration increases to $60.00 USD.
On Sunday May 18, 2008, the second day of the tournament, will be for competitors in the Juvenile, Adults, Masters and Seniors categories. The cost of early registration for Juveniles through Masters prior to Thursday May 8th is $65.00 USD. From May 9 – 11, 2008, registration increases to $80.00 USD.
Each Kids competitors will be required to provide identification.
Acceptable forms of identification for children include Passport, Birth certificate, Government issued identification card, school report card, library pass, etc

Fully supported by the Confederation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Everyone else competes on Sunday
