ADCC News was able to obtain the partial card for the upcoming ShoXC event set to take place on January 25th, 2008 at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, New Jersey. In what is believed to be the main event, England’s Paul “Semtex” Daley will take on Hawaii’s Mike Aina at 160 pounds. Daley has gone 5-1 in his last six bouts with four knockouts and one TKO. His last loss came by a decision against Luiz Azeredo over a year ago and he has knocked out Duane “Bang” Ludwig and Mark Weir in the last six months. Aina was an unknown commodity until his war and split decision loss to Nick Diaz in EliteXC”s Uprising event in September. The two warriors traded blows and Aina even scored a knockdown but only had the fight won on only one of the judges’ score card. He gets rewarded for his performance here with a main event with another highly skilled competitor in Daley. Another familiar name on the card will be UFC and Pride veteran, Yves Edwards. Since joining the American Top Team, Edwards has won his last two fights by rear-naked-chokes. He also will be fighting at 160 pounds and there has been no official word on his opponent.
