Meca Fight Championship 12 Pedro Jahara Gymnasium, Teresopolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Saturday, July 9th of 2005It’s winter time in Brazil, and the city of Teresopolis, in Rio de Janeiro, is known as a tourist’s favorite destination during the coldest season of the year. However, on Saturday, July 9th, the weather promises to heat up at the Pedro Jahara Gymnasium, where Meca’s next edition, the 12th of event?s history is set to take place. The promoters expect to a great audience, anxious to see famous Brazilians such as Evangelista ‘Cyborg’, from Chute Boxe, in action. Meca’s official card suffered from some changes during the last week. Luis Beicao (Gracie Barra Combat Team), who replaced the injured Alex Gaze (Boxe Thai), is off of the card due to an injury suffered by Marcelo Nigue (Gracie Humaita) and his bout had to be cancelled. Even with this little problem, Rudimar Fedrigo, Chute Boxe leader and one of the event promoters, is excited about the upcoming show.
