The world woke up Thursday morning lamenting another terrorist attack. This time, the city victimized was London, a city that was celebrating the fact that it will host the Olympic Games in 2012. However, bombs exploded, killing several dozen people in the underground subway and on a bus. Living and training in London, ADCC 2005 Super Champion Roger Gracie was one of the millions of Londoners shocked with all that happened. ADCC News got in touch with Roger to make sure he was safe. ‘I was at the Gracie Academy by the time that the attacks occurred. I was training, preparing a surprise to show during the BJJ Worlds at the end of the month’ says Roger. Because of the attacks, Roger Gracie will take an alternate rout home after the training session, and so far, he has no idea if someone he knows was injured or even killed during this sad episode. ‘It is a really big mess here. The traffic is completely stopped and people seem desperate. Nobody showed up at the academy to attend the afternoon class’ ends Roger. BJJ World 2004 runner-up at the absolute category, after losing a historic fight against Ronaldo ‘Jacare’, Roger Gracie arrives in Brazil on July 15th to get ready to dispute the BJJ World 2005 edition, scheduled form July 28th to 31st.
