The sport of wrestling is slowly but surely expanding for the youth of New York City. Here is the latest press release about the Beat the Streets program: Beat the Streets ReportMiddle School Metro league is becoming a reality as the USAW/MWA continues to expand with its middle school ‘feeder’ program. Middle schools are beginning to contact the MWA as well as several community based programs with potential partnerships of helping us building the ‘Brand’ of Beat the Streets. The community is beginning to come to the table and are working closely to meet the mission of developing wrestling from Youth to the Olympics. It all starts at the bottom, the wider the base the higher the apex! Join us and help us spread the word. We need more mats…every time we place a mat in a school, a YMCA, Boys Clubs, Parks Dept. kids will come. Build it and they will come! We need more mats!
