Scoring with a late takedown and sweep, Tom DeBlass defeated the veteran Renato "Babalu" Sobral 4-0 in the superfight at the ADCC event in New York at the MMA World Expo. This ten-minute match was held under ADCC rules, and took place Saturday, July 26, at the Javits Center in Manhattan.
The finals of the absolute pro division saw a relative newcomer to ADCC, Cedric Smith, defeat Marco DeLima. The score of this match was 3-0, as Cedric Smith established side control late in the match.
More results will be posted soon from Saturday's all-day no-gi tournament. The gi divisions take place Sunday.
