ADCC Superfight champion Roger Gracie will drop down to the middleweightdivision to face Keith Jardine at an upcoming Strikeforce event. The card isexpected to take place in July in Portland, Ore.

Gracie will cut to 185 pounds after suffering his first MMA defeat at the handsof former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Muhammed Lawal. Previously,Gracie had won four-straight fights including a first-round submission victoryover former UFC champion Kevin Randleman.

On the grappling mats, Gracie has reached the highest levels of the sport. Hehas claimed double championships at the IBJJF World Championships and the ADCCSubmission Wrestling World Championships. In 2007, he defeated Jon Olav Einemoin the ADCC Superfight and also holds submission victories over RobertDrysdale, Alexandre Ribeiro and Marcelo Garcia.

Jardine recently dropped down a division and faced Luke Rockhold for the vacantStrikeforce middleweight title. The TUF-season-2 veteran failed to make it outof the first round. Over the course of his career, Jardine has defeated BrandonVera, Chuck Liddell and Forrest Griffin.
