Sources are starting to confirm more athletes for the upcoming DREAM 16-man tournament.

Marcel Garcia, who made a monstrous splash in 2003 by taking ADCC by storm, is regarded as one of the best single grapplers in the world.  However, his first foray into MMA wasn’t great.

The legendary grappling figure is being courted by DREAM who lost his first and only MMA match via TKO (stoppage for a cut) back in October of 2007.

Garcia, who won three straight ADCC gold medals from 2003-2007, trains with the American Top Team to improve his standup. His coach Ricardo Liborio tells Portal das Lutas "there’s a good chance. Nothing’s in ink yet, but there really is a good chance Marcelo will be in the GP."

If Garcia signs to fight in the DREAM tournament, he’ll debut at DREAM.8 on April 5.

The ADCC will take place this year and if schedule permits, Garcia will shoot for a fourth straight under 77 kg division title (where he is currently considered a heavy favorite).
