In a display of mastery of the game Andre Galvao secured a returning spot for ADCC 2009. This time Galvao, competing in the U88KG category mastered all his opponents including a submission victory over a tough Bruno Bastos to take on the final. Another returning veteran is Antoine Jaoude, the former ADCC Arab Division Champion mastered Big Mac to gain his spot. All other champions are new faces to the ADCC event. The international ADCC judges confirmed the always high level of competition in the open format ADCC Brazil Trials.
