Power Gate – 11/01/2008: ‘Stepping Up to ‘Pounds’ Allowed Rules!’

Home » News Archive » Power Gate – 11/01/2008: ‘Stepping Up to ‘Pounds’ Allowed Rules!’

Finally from this show on Power Gate is allowing fighters to throw strikes to the head.

While the rules are getting closer to the current sanctioned MMA rules they are also departing from the hexagonal ring and going back to the regular square ring. Many pro fighters from Shoot who live in the western part of Japan, Power Gate’s home territory, are confirmed for this show and perhaps it’s because of the rules change. This would basically means Power Gate looks like it has stepped up as an MMA promotion.

PG Crush Rules allows poundings to the head on the ground and PG Slash Rules prohibits it.
