A quick note to announce that former longboard World surfing champion Joel Tudor was promoted this past Saturday to the ranks of Black Belt by his lontime instructor Rodrigo Medeiros. Tudor is the example of dedication and talent melded together. His desire and determination have propelled him to many tournament wins, capped by his recent US Nationals title in the adult division. It is quite amazing for this reporter, who considers Joel a friend, to have witnessed his first training session a few years back and his quick progress to the highest level.
Congratulations to Joel and Rodrigo for the promotion, it was well deserved!
