Alliance Team conquered another team title this past weekend. The powerhouse Alliance took the Rio International Open team title, completing a huge trifecta: Pan, Worlds and International. Team leader Romero "Jacare" Cavalcanti was ecstatic:

"After conquering the Pan and the Worlds we have also won the International title with a large number of points! Our team is unstopable winning every major tournament in 2008. With the efforts of Sergio Moraes, Michael Langhi, Gabriel Vella, Batista, Jimmy,Leo, Thiago Clemente and many other again we put on a show with a high index of submissions. I am very proud to say that we are the best team in teh planet right now!

We are going strong after the ’08 No-Gi title as well, with Tarsis, Vella, Cobrinha and others ready for war. Our secret is follow the orders of the comanders:  Jacare & Gurgel. None of our athletes hide behind their titles and my reply to those that prematurely stated that Alliance Team was dead is that they are crying now! "

Our team is so large that it is hard to place the focus on anyone, they are all great " stated Rolker Gracie. "For the sixth consecutive time our team won the title.
