An ecstatic "Xande" stated: "It was a tough fight, we went into overtime and I slapped a triangle on him. We stood back up and pummeled for a while and in the end I got the nod." And continued: "In my view, the fight of the night was me and Galvao. He is a great fighter and we went at each other hard, in the end I believe my experience was the difference. Tonight it was "Xandi" ego all the way!" (reference to his current hometown of San Diego)
