On October 16th Japan time, Yushin Okami left Tokyo for Ohio to face Jason McDonald in the upcoming UFC 77. GCM, his association released the following comment by Okami. "This time I am not going to lose. For sure, I am going to score a win and would like to get back into title contention. I though over the last loss and trained hard for this fight. Not just for winning but also I am looking to pump up the crowd with an exciting fight and will be back in Japan."
Last month when his fight was announced Okami shared his analysis on the opponent, McDonald, who has a UFC record of 3-1, "I think he has got a long arms and legs, and I understand that he is very good at submission wrestling. This time, physically, I have been emphasizing on striking technique. In the last fight I lost to Rich Franklin so I know this fight is going to be a crucial one."
