Last Sunday, ADCC JAPAN held the 1st Kanto ( Eastern Japan) tournament. There will be three more tournaments – Tohoku ( Northern Japan), Kansai ( Western Japan ) and Kyushu ( Southern Japan ) by March 25th when the ADCC Japan Trials Final Elimination round is scheduled. These four tournaments do not mean automatic qualification to the ADCC Japan Trials. Local tournaments give opportunities for judges and referees to gain experience and for fighters to compete and become skilled in ADCC rules. That is why we use more weight classes more than Trial and the World Championships. Fighters don?t need to make weight for these tournaments, because that these tournaments will be just a rehearsal for the Trials.Result of ADCC JAPAN Kanto tournamentAdult Advance61kg Joji Shimada (Paraestra Hachioji)66kg Kohei Nishibayashi (GRABAKA gym)71kg Kohei Yasumi ( Paraestra Tokyo)77kg Satoru Kitaoka (PancraaseIsm P?s LAB)83kg Sojiro Orui (SK Absolute)94kg Shunichi Akimoto (Wajutsu Keisyukai)Open class Mateus Irie Nechio ( PUREBRED Omiya)Adult Intermediate61kg Keita Fukuhara (X-TREME Jiujitsu Academy)66kg Yuto Hirao (X-TREME Jiujitsu Academy)71kg Yoshihiko Sakurada (MAX Jiujitsu Academy)77kg Daisuke Teramoto (Tiger Place)Open class Yuto Hirao (X-TREME Jiujitsu Academy)Adult Beginner61kg Atsushi Makigaya (Wajutsu Keisyukai Gunma)66kg Jason Haney (MAX Jiujitsu Academy)77kg Hisato Izawa (YMC)Open class Christopher Costa (Neto Japan)Master Intermediate61kg Naoya Okuizumi (PUREBRED ARENA)66kg Hiroshi Ishida (Tema Rojer Machado)71kg Minoru Tanaka (Gracie Barra Nagano)Open class Masato Obata (Team Yabuki)Women Adult Advance65kg Kanako Takeshita (Wajutsu Keisyukai Tokyo)71kg Yoko Takahashi (Tomoegumi)Open class Yoko Takahashi (Tomoegumi)Women Adult Intermediate55kg Mei Yamaguchi (MAX Jiujitsu Academy)Open class Mei Yamaguchi (MAX Jiujitsu Academy)
