The ADCC is officially announcing the opening of the ADCC Brazilian Submission Fighting Championship trials for 2007 that will take place in Rio de Janeiro ? Brazil, on the 3rd and 4th of February of 2007.These trials will be open for all Brazilian and South American male and female athletes and will require proper identification or passport (for South American regions) before subscribing for this competition.The winner of each of the five categories will have an opening in the 2007 ADCC World Championship that will take place in May 2007 in New Jersey USA (for further information please access www.adcombat.com ) and will have an opportunity to compete with the best of ADCC?s Championship fighters from all over the world, and participate in winning cash prizes of over U$ 250.000.There will be 1 (one) place open for each category to go through to this event. In case of last minute cancellation for whatever the reason from this athlete the winner in second place of that weight class will have the right to go in his or her place. Location:The event will take place in the gymnasium of Botafogo (Ave. Venceslau Bras, ?72) in Rio de Janeiro next to the famous Rio Sul Shopping center. Dates:The official weigh in will take place one day prior to the event (Friday, 2nd of February) and early Saturday for last minute athletes. The event will take place Saturday 3rd of Feb. and Sunday 4th of February.
