The North American Amateur Fight Series (NAAFS) is proud to announce it?s first ever NAAFS Team Challenge event scheduled for this November 2nd in Akron, Ohio. The inaugural NAAFS Team Challenge will be part of the return of Thursday Night Fights to the Chaparrell?s Community Center. Four of the nation?s best amateur MMA teams will compete for a $2500 gift certificate to Combat Sports International along with the right to defend their team title in 2007. We are proud to announce to the participation of the following four teams on November 2nd:Strong Style Fight Team ? Cleveland, OHTeam Air-GadFly ? Jamestown, NYTeam DNA ? Erie, PATeam Griffon-Rawl ? Mentor, OHEach team will consist of five fighters representing each of the 2006 NAAFS amatuer divisions (LW through HW). Each fighter will compete one time on November 2nd against a predetermined opponent. Scores ranging from 0 to 25 will be awarded to each fighter following the completion of each match up which will be counted towards that fighters overall team score. The team with the highest combined score after the conclusion of the final fight will be crowned as the 2006 NAAFS Team Champions.Final individual match-ups for November 2nd will be posted on www.PKWlive.com during the week of October 18th.
