Here are the medical suspensions from UFN 5 on June 28, 2006, as handed down from the Nevada State Athletic Commission. – Anderson Da Silva made quick work of Chris Leben in just 49 seconds into the first round. Leben is suspended until 7/28/06 with no contact until 7/20/06. – Luke Joseph Cummo suffered facial lacerations in his unanimous decision loss to Jonathen Goulet and will be suspended until 8/31/06 and no contact until 7/28/06. – David Jeremy Menne also lost a unanimous decision to Josh D. Kosheck and will be suspended until 8/28/06 with no contact until 8/13/06 due to a laceration on his right eyebrow. – Branden Lee Hinkle will be suspended until 8/13/06 with no contact until 7/28/06 after suffering a TKO loss to Jason Lambert in the first round. – Although Jonathan Parker Fitch defeated Thiago Alves Araujo by TKO in the second round, he must have his right wrist x-rayed or cleared by doctor or the match is a no contest until 12/26/06. Alves is suspended until his right orbital blow out fracture is cleared by a doctor or no contest until 12/26/06. With his injuries, he faces a minimum suspension of until 8/13/06 with no contact until 7/18/06. – Justin Robert Levens must clear his possible chip fracture of interior maxillary spine of the nose with a doctor or he is suspended until 12/26/06. Levens? injuries from this fight with Jorge Santiago-Rodrigues will keep him sideline from 8/28/06 and no contact until 8/13/06. Here are the medical suspensions from UFC 61 on July 8, 2006, as handed down from the Nevada State Athletic Commission. – Timothy Deane Sylvia won the UFC heavyweight title by unanimous decision and also won a seat on the sidelines until a doctor clears him. His opponent, Andrei Arlovski, Is suspended until 9/7/06 with no contact until 8/23/06. – For all of the one minute and 18 seconds the fight lasted, Kenneth Wayne Shamrock is suspended until 8/8/06 and no contact until 7/30/06 after suffering a TKO loss to Jacob C. ?Tito? Ortiz. – Although Joshua R. Burkman defeated Josh Martin Neer by unanimous decision, he did not walk away from the fight unscathed. Burkman suffered a nasal fracture and his toe must be cleared by a doctor or he is suspended until 1/5/07. He also faces a minimum suspension until 8/23/06 with no contact until 8/8/06. For the punishment Neer took in that fight, he is suspended until 8/23/06 with no contact until 8/8/06. – Francisco Santos Mir III was injury free after his decision victory over Daniel B. Christison. Christison wasn?t as fortunate as he suffered a nasal fracture and must be cleared by a doctor or he cannot compete until 1/5/07. – Joseph Christopher Stevenson?s elbows have gotten Yves Ed?Duvill Edwards suspended until 8/23/06 and no contact until 8/8/06. Stevenson was also suspended and he will out until 7/30/06 with no contact until 7/30/06. – Anthony Perosh will be suspended until 8/8/06 with no contact until 7/30/06 after suffering a first round TKO loss to Jeffrey Monson. – Cheick ?Kongo? Guillaum Ouedraogo defeated Gilbert Castro Aldana and will be suspended until 8/8/06 and no contact until 7/30/06. In that loss, Aldana suffered a right eye laceration that will need to be cleared of he can?t compete until 1/5/07. – Andrew Robert Fickett choked out Kurt Joseph Pellegrino, who will be suspended until 8/23/06 and no contact until 8/8/06. – Late replacement Michael Joseph Jordan fell victim to a Hermes Franca-Barros triangle choke and will be suspended until 9/7/06 with no contact until 8/23/06.
