Current World Champion and new father Andre Galvao is there: ‘My daughter was born last Wednesday and here I am. All this sacrifice is for a good goal, I hope to win the Gold again!’ Marcio Feitosa is on his last stages of preparation. Feitosa has been training hard with his Gracie Barra comrades in Orange County and will swoop down to Rio just prior to the competition. ‘Xande’ Ribeiro is also on the final stages of his preparation. Xande, one of the early favorites to fight for the Absolute Title along with Roger Gracie, Marcelo Garcia, Demian Maia & Braulio Estima, leaves for Rio later this week.Word from Northern Brazil is that Braulio is in top shape as well. This competition will be the first of its kind to be held in Half Moon Bay and will consist of a wide variety of Martial Arts and fighting techniques. These fights will consist of stand up and submission grappling with the exception of strikes to the face and head for three rounds, each three minutes with 1 minute rests between each round. There will be a total of ten fights held on Saturday night in the Gymnasium of Half Moon Bay High School.
