In the appropriately named Hall of Champions in Long Beach City College they will be coming in record numbers to compete, watch, or browse the mall at one of the world’s largest and best run tournament circuits. In addition there will be an on site mall with all the latest gear and vendors and food supplied by Silva’s BBQ and Sambazon. Main Event: Ryron Gracie vs Rick Macauley In the main event for the day, a 20 minute superfight between the pride of the Gracie Academy, Ryron Gracie and Rick ‘the Vanilla Gorilla’ Macauley. ‘Everyone knows that styles make the matches exciting,’ says matchmaker Alan ‘Gumby’ Marques from OntheMat. There is a sharp contrast in styles with Ryron’s solid foundation in the basics, and Rick’s enormous bag of tricks, however both men are proven champions.
