We want to give beginners a chance to compete and enjoy the atmosphere as a competitor and not just a spectator. The Adult White Belt Novice Division will be divided into sub divisions with respect to weight, age (adult, master and seniors); but all competitors will simply be White Belts with no more than SIX MONTHS training. Of course, we will still have all the same traditional WHITE Belt divisions for experienced students and practitioners but we always look for ways to help NEW students develop and grow in the sport.COMPETITION SCHEDULES:Kids – 15 years old and under all belts and weight classes – Begins at 10:00AMWhite Belt – Juniors 16 and 17 years old Male and Female – Begins at 10:00AMBlue Belt – Juniors 16 and 17 years old Male and Female – Begins at 10:00AMWhite Belt (Novice) – Adults, Masters, and Seniors Male and Female – Begins at 12:00PMWhite Belt (Regular) – Adults, Masters, and Seniors Male and Female – Begins at 12:00PMBlue Belt – Adults, Masters, and Seniors Male and Female – Begins at 3:00PMPurple Belt – Adults, Masters, and Seniors Male and Female – Begins at 12:00PMBrown Belt – Adults, Masters, and Seniors Male and Female – Begins at 3:00PMBlack Belt Pro – Adults, Masters, and Seniors Male and Female – Begins at 5:00PM Amateur Champion of the Champions – Adults Male only – Begins at 5:00PMEach competitor will be allowed to register in ONE WEIGHT DIVISION ONLY. Due to the logistics problems arising from scheduling (often the adults, masters and seniors get called at the same time, etc?) and the growth of our tournament, we can no longer allow competitors to compete in more than one age division.ABOUT REFEREES: All referees MUST be a Black Belt. A referee should always respect fair play. He should see that all competitors display their techniques to the best of their ability. It is not enough for a referee to mechanically conduct a match. He must exert his best efforts in each match to conduct the match smoothly and professionally so that the results can be satisfactory to all parties. A referee must always do his best make a just decision and accept the full responsibility for that decision. A referee must be impartial and non-bias to all competitors, and never favoring one competitor over another. A referee will communicate instructions in English. The United Gracie Team would like to take the time and thank our sponsors American Home Mortgage, Bail Bonds Buffy/Sparacino , Chronomix Timers, Digital Edge, Jiu-Jitsu Pro Gear, Preferred Building Services, Red Bull, Sambazon Acai, Service West, Sick Submissions, Sniper Submissions, Spine Docs, Strategic Office Solutions, The Windows Restaurant, Zebra Mats for their support.
