Pancrase 2006 BLOW TourSunday, March 19th, 2006At Umeda Stella Hall (Umeda Sky Building Tower West 3rd Floor)Doors Open: 15:00Fight Start: 16:30text by Yoshinori Ihara (www.boutreview.com) / photo by Hideto Ida PIC: Mihara (bottom) is undefeated in Jiu-jitsu matches.2005 ADCC Japan Trial champ Hidemi Mihara is finally making a professional MMA debut. On January 5th, Pancrase revealed four fights for their first Osaka show of 2006.Mihara had to conquer a one-day tournament held back on September 4th, 2005 in the Pancrase Osaka show to win a promotion to a professional bout. His opponent is going to be the Great Naniwa. Naniwa last fought in a Pancrase show back on April 10th 2005 so he is coming out of almost a year of absence from the Pancrase ring. Naniwa is a third place finisher of the 1999 All Japan Amateur Shooto heavyweight division and the winner of the 2001 Amateur Contenders tournament cruiserweight division. He is now a middleweight so he is going to have an advantage in the power department. Also, Yuji Miyazaki from Dokonjonosuke Mishima’s MMA Dojo Cobra-kai, who lost to Stephan Haigh in a first-ever ‘loser shaves his hair MMA match’ held in the States (MFC 5: USA vs. Japan), will take on Yuji Ikari, a young hope from Pancrase P’s LAB Tokyo. Miyazaki has 23 years of judo under his sleeve and Ikari has 10 years of karate under his belt so one can anticipate a classic grappler vs. striker match.Confirmed Card (Subject to Change):Middleweight Bout 5 min / 2RHidemi Mihara (Japan / MMA Dojo Cobra-kai) vs. The Great Naniwa (Japan /Muso Senjiu-tsu)Osaka vs. Tokyo #3 Featherweight Bout 5 min / 2RNaoji Fujimoto (Japan / Pancrase Inagaki-gumi) vs. NUKINPO!
