The 2005 San Diego open has just finished. The event had a good turnout for a first year event and had very exciting fights in every level. Top area Academies competed for the title with a huge showing from National Champions BJJ Revolution repeating their great performance and taking the title, but the story of the 2005 San Diego Open was the gathering of top Black Belts and great fights. The name of the event was Xande Ribeiro who won the weight and the absolute and in the proces submitted some of the top fighters in the world (who had not tapped as Black Belt ever).
