ADCC 2005 – 6th Submission Wrestling World ChampionshipsThe PYRAMID, Long Beach State Campus, Long Beach, CaliforniaSaturday and Sunday, May 28th and 29th, 2005‘The 6th Submission Westling World Championships is next weekend, and the event lineup is really solidifying.’ states ADCC spokesperson Miguel Iturrate. ‘The lineup will change until the event – there will be changes. Yesterday, we confirmed with Eddie Bravo that he is injured and will be unable to compete. This is a loss, as Eddie’s return was a HIGHLY anticipated ADCC 2005 event. We wish Eddie well, and of course we wish him a strong recovery, and We hope to see Eddie in 2007. However the ADCC 2005 is still shaping up to be the best lineup we have ever had at the Submission Wrestling World Championships. Several changes and new competitors have been confirmed, and we know that old champions will repeat and new champions will be crowned, as the ADCC 2005 will certainly have the attention of the whole grappling world next weekend. We will see who the world is talking about on the 30th of May ‘ concludes the spokesman.LATEST LINEUP:U -66 KG #1 Leo Vieira 2003 World Champion (Brazil) #2 Wagney Fabiano 2005 Brazilian Qualifier (Brazil) #3 Javier Vazquez 2005 North American Qualifier (USA) #4 Toni Kroger 2005 European Qualifier (Finland) #5 Tetsu Suzuki 2005 Japanese Qualifier (Japan) #6 Eugene Hynson 2005 Australian Qualifier (New Zealand) #7 Fredson Alves (Brazil) #8 Joey Gilbert (USA) #9 Baret Yoshida (USA) #10 Marcio Feitosa (Brazil) #11 Marcos ‘Parrumpinha’ DaMatta (Brazil) #12 Jani Lax (Finland) #13 Alberto Crane (USA)#14 Mario Delgado (Mexico)#15 Urijah Faber (USA)66 – 76.99 KG #1 Marcelo Garcia 2003 World Champion (Brazil) #2 Juan ‘Jucao’ Carneiro 2005 Brazilian Qualifier (Brazil) #3 Cameron Earle 2005 North American Qualifier (USA) #4 Martin Lindqvist 2005 European Qualifier (Sweden) #5 Shinja Aoki 2005 Japanese Qualifier (Japan) #6 Gavin Kulper 2005 Australian Qualifier (Australia) #7 Chris Brennan (USA) #8 Pablo Popovitch (USA) #9 Marcos Avellan (USA) #10 Diego Sanchez (USA) #11 Renzo Gracie (Brazil) #12 Jason Brudvik (Sweden) #13 Jake Shields (USA) #14 Leo Santos (Brazil) #15 Otto Olson (USA) #16 George St Peirre (Canada)77 – 87.99 KG #1 Saulo Ribeiro 2003 World Champion (Brazil) #2 Demian Maia 2005 Brazilian Qualifier (Brazil) #3 David Avellan (USA) #4 Marko Helen 2005 European Qualifier (Finland) #5 Hidemi Mihara 2005 Japanese Qualifier (Japan) #6 Larry Papadopoulos 2005 Australian Qualifier (Australia) #7 Robert Sulski (Poland) #8 Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza (Brazil) #9 Dennis Hallman (USA) #10 Reese Andy (USA) #11 Takefumi Hanai (Japan) #12 Jorge Patino ‘Macaco’ (Brazil)#13 David Terrell (USA)#14 Bento Ribeiro (Brazil)#15 David Biekhelden (Sweden)#16 Matt Horwich (USA)88 – 98.99 KG #1 Jon Olav Einmo 2003 2003 World Champion (NORWAY) #2 Roger Gracie 2005 Brazilian Qualifier (Brazil) #3 Jamal Patterson 2005 North American Qualifier (USA) #4 Mikael Grothe Runner up 2005 European Qualifier (Sweden) #5 Yukiya Naito 2005 Japanese Qualifier (Japan) #6 Anthony Perosh 2005 Australian Qualifier (Australia) #7 Alexandre ‘Cacareco’ Ferreira (Brazil) #8 Alexandre ‘Xande’ Ribeiro (Brazil) #9 Antoine Joaude (Brazil) #10 Mike Van Arsdale (USA)#11 Travis Wiuff (USA)#12 Bruno Bastos (Brazil)#13 Victor Viana (Brazil)#14 Robert Drysdale (USA)#15 Vladimir Matyushenko (Ukraine)Over 99 KG #1 Marcio ‘Pe De Pano’ Cruz 2003 World Champion (Brazil) #2 Gabriel Napao 2005 Brazilian Qualifier (Brazil) #3 Karim Byron 2005 North American Qualifier (Canada) #4 Mustafa Al-Turk 2005 European Qualifier (UK) #5 Jun Ishii 2005 Japanese Qualifier (Japan) #6 Dennis Roberts 2005 Australian Qualifier (Australia) #7 Rhadi Ferguson (USA) #8 Jeff Monson (USA) #9 Miodrag ‘Pele’ Petkovic (Serbia)#10 Ricco Rodriguez (USA) #11 Craig Pumphrey (USA) #12 Haim Gozali (Israel)#13 Fabrizio Werdum (Brazil)#14 Paulo Filho (Brazil)#15 Daniel Gracie (Brazil)#16 Marcio Corleta (Brazil)SUPERFIGHT: JEAN JACQUES MACHADO (BRAZIL) v.
