Text and photos by Marcelo Alonso Spend ten days in intensive Jiu-Jitsu training with some of the most respected brazilian black belts, in a mansion located near Buzios (a paradise located 2 hours from Rio de Janeiro) best beach. That’s the main idea of this upcoming Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Camp. After the huge sucess of the first two editions, Brasa black belts, Felipe Costa, Rodrigo Comprido, Otavio Couto, Leonardo Vieira, Michelle Matta, Castello Branco and Bezinho Otero promoted the third camp from April 15th thru April 25th. This time, students came from as far away as the USA, New Zealand, Mexico, Norway and Germany. ‘From when they arrive at the airport to the day they leave, we take care of everything, including three meals and two Jiu-Jitsu classes per day’ explains the black belt Felipe Costa.After the morning classes, the students normally take off the gi and walk 20 meters to relax in the clear waters of Geriba beach. ‘It was better than I expected. Excellent food, amazing place and a very friendly atmosphere. I must return in future editions’, said American David Goldrich, a white belt under Rickson Gracie and president of a Mortgage company located in Chicago. The fourth edition of the Camp is already scheduled for the second week of August.
