Although their tickets for the Rio-Tokyo flight were scheduled for Saturday at 9h50 PM, Brazilian Top Team fighters did not take their last weekend off: one week away from Pride Grand Prix’s first phase, the last hours of Rogerio ‘Minotouro’ were dedicated to a hard wrestling training in BTT gym, in a Rio de Janeiro with almost 30 degrees Celsius. Keeping the heat on was unstoppable wrestler and BTT teacher Darrel Gholar, who led the two hour-training session to review some of techiniques Rogerio has been training for his fight against powerful wrestler Dan Henderson. The last day of training in Brazil for Minotouro got together many of the stars of his team: his brother Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Mario Sperry, Alexandre Cacareco, Roan Jucao, Junior Buscape, Carlao Barreto, Fabiano Capoani, Claudio Godoy and some others made Rogerio sweat a lot, and they left the mat pretty confident. Four hours before departing for Japan, Minotouro stated: ‘I have been watching again some of Henderson’s fights, against Renzo Gracie, Arona and my brother, and I know what to do in order to avoid his weapons, his upper cuts and favorite takedowns. I feel good, my weight now is 96kg and this was a hell training! Did you see how Darrel pushes us so hard?’ he closed.
