With Rafael WerneckAlmost one year after his last MMA appearance, Ze’ Mario Sperry will be back in the ring on February 20th, when he is going to face the Japanese fighter Hirotaka Yokoi in PRIDE. The Brazilian Top Team fighter and leader used tihs last week to make the final adjustments in his game, and he departs considering himself ready to win. ‘Hirotaka faced Rodrigo in the Pride Heavyweight GP opening round, so I know him very well. I consider him a good fighter in every aspect, the kind of fighter that knows how to do some of everything. Good take downs, good striker that likes to throw some punches and stay on top. Let’s see what is going to happen. I’m going to Japan to win’ says Ze Mario. Sperry confesses that the fight between Hiro Yokoi and his partner ‘Minotauro’ was very useful. ‘I’ve talked to Rodrigo and he gave me several pointers, and we trained together almost every day. I’m pretty sure I’ll step out of the ring with a victor’. The long time away from the ring does not worry Ze Mario. ‘I’m always in Japan, helping other BTT fighters, so, I won’t have any problem. Facing a Japanese fighter also makes no difference to me. In the ring everybody is the same’, finishes Sperry, who is flying to Japan on Saturday with Rodrigo ‘Minotauro’ and Rogerio ‘Minotouro’ Nogueira.
