Jiu-Jitsu with Rugby?
Mixing Jiu-Jitsu with Rugby doesn't seem like the greatest idea, although both sports involve a great deal of physical contact, Rugby's use of a ball would seem a distant place for a Jiu-Jitsu coach to be in but that is not the case. In Australia, Marcos Nevel, owner of Gracie Sidney has transcended the boundaries of GJJ and is now teaching the Canterbury Bulldogs NRL side and the New South Wales State of Origin team.
Nevel's fame is expanding and he is now being contacted by various other teams for his expertise as was the case of his recent visit to Dunedin, New Zealand to meet up with a local coach who also works with Rugby players. The combination drew the attention of the Otago Daily Times, as they wrote an article about Nevel's work and the crossing of techniques betwees Jiu-Jitsu and Rugby and Rugby League
