World Champion Bia Mesquita recently had surgery to repair a torn hamstring. The injury occurred during the Absolute finals against Gabi Garcia. Mesquita won her division and got second in the Absolute to Gabi. Mesquita was in good spirits after the surgery and stated: "It wasn't a lot of people that knew, but I got injury in the open class finals at worlds. I had a huge tear hamstring. I had my surgery today and everything was great, the doctors were wonderful. But the bad notice is that I was invited to ADCC and can't made it
