Alliance leader Romero "Jacare" Cavalcanti may have left the Pan disappointed for the near miss at the team title, however he is proud and stoked with so many of his accomplishments. One huge accomplishment is the promotion of a 3 star Army General to Black Belt. Lt General Mike Ferriter, a long time student of "Jacare" was recently promoted in a ceremony in Atlanta. General Ferriter was one of the pioneers of introducing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to the Army. A few days before the Pan "Jacare" confided: "It is one of my biggest accomplishments. I am really proud of Mike and his entire program that we pioneered!"
