It is with great joy that we report that Checkmat BJJ standout Alan "Finfou" do Nascimento is back on the mats. A little more than 2 months ago, during the semifinals of the 2014 Worlds, Alan suffered a serious injury to his neck that left him paralyzed without feeling his legs and arms. After some scary days in the hospital Alan's recovery began and still continues.
Today however, we got a direct message from an elated "Finfou" that he is back teaching at his academy in Sweden. "Finfou" promises us some pictures that we will be publishing in the next few days.
Big shout to my friend and BJJ'er champion in life Alan!
