ADCC MALTESE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP 2026

REGISTRATION
- Registration Deadline: 12 PM on Friday, 10 July 2026.
COMPETITION FEES
- Adults:
€40 early bird
€70 normal registration
€85 late registration - Kids & Juveniles:
€20 early bird
€40 normal registration
€60 late registration - Payment:
All fees must be paid through Smoothcomp (Stripe) before the registration deadline.
SCHEDULE
- Weigh-ins:
- Starting 10th July at 6 PM – 9 PM
- and 11th July at 7 AM – 10 AM.
- Competitors must be weighed in and registered at least 1 hour before their first match.
- Matches Begin: at 10:00 AM.
PUBLIC / SPECTATORS
- Entrance €15 for Spectators.
- Doors open to the public at 9:30 AM.
PRIZES
- Medals:
The top three competitors in each weight class will receive official ADCC medals. - Absolute Divisions:
Open to medalists in Adult and Masters Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Professional divisions. Registration for Absolute Divisions is free on the day of the competition. - Professional Absolute Winners:
Championship cash prizes* are awarded.
(*Minimum of 6 competitors required in Absolute Divisions to qualify for cash prizes.) - Team Awards
Trophies for the Best Team.
DIVISIONS / WEIGHT CLASSES
- Once you compete at a specific skill level, you cannot move back down in future competitions.
Skill Levels:
- Beginner:
Less than 2 years of training in BJJ, Judo, Wrestling, Sambo, etc.
No professional MMA fights. - Intermediate:
2–4 years of training.
No major/top-level medals in Grappling, Wrestling, Sambo, etc.
No professional MMA fights. - Advanced:
5+ years of training.
If you have major/top-level medals in Grappling, Wrestling, Sambo, etc., or have competed in professional MMA fights, you qualify as Advanced regardless of training time. - Professional:
5+ years of training in any discipline.
Adults training less than 5 years but with top-level medals in Grappling, Wrestling, Sambo, etc., or professional MMA experience are also considered Professional. - Masters:
Age 35+ (Beginner, Intermediate & Professional divisions available).
Prize Regulations – ADCC Maltese Open Championship 2026
1. Cash Prizes – Absolute Adults Pro (Men & Women)
- Total prize pool: EUR 800 per division (Men / Women)
Prize breakdown:
- 1st place – EUR 500
- 2nd place – EUR 200
- 3rd place – EUR 100
Eligibility:
- Minimum of 8 athletes per bracket
- Prizes are subject to organizer approval
2. Top 5 Most Popular Categories
- Prize: EUR 100 for the 1st place winner in each of the top 5 most popular divisions
- Announcement: After registration closes
Eligibility:
- Each awarded division must have a minimum of 8 competitors
3. Best Team Award
- Prize: EUR 500
Scoring system
- 1st place = 5 points
- 2nd place = 3 points
- 3rd place = 1 point
Rules
- Points are only awarded for matches that were actually fought
- Athletes who receive medals without competing are not counted in the team ranking
Tie-breaker
- Team with more gold medals wins.
Organizer’s Right
- All disputes or unclear situations regarding the interpretation of these rules will be resolved by the Organizer.
- The Organizer reserves the right to amend the rules prior to the start of the event.
