The ADCC committee has been super busy contacting competitors for the 2013 event. The event will go down on October 19 & 20, 2013 in Beijing, China. The latest update has 2009 U99KG Champion "Xande" Ribeiro out due to injury. "Xande" was looking forward to competing in ADCC again but got injured during his recent competition run. Another top out of the event is current World BJJ champion Bia Mesquita. Mesquita ruptured her hamstring during the Absolute finals against Gabi Mesquita in the 2013 Worlds.
Returning to the ADCC competition mats is former champion Jon Olav Einemo. Einemo won the U 99KG in Brazil in 2003 and fought and lost the Superfight against Roger Gracie in 2007 in Trenton, NJ.
