For the first defense of the Legacy Fighting Alliance lightweight title Rob Watley faces Daryl Wilson. LFA 27 takes place November 10th at the FireLake Casino in Shawnee, OK with a main card broadcast on AXS TV.
Rob Watley claimed the LFA lightweight title in July with a unanimous decision over Thiago Moises. Prior to that promotional debut Watley was mainly a regional fighter with experience in CFFC, Shogun Fights, and Xtreme Caged Combat where he won the title in February. In is 8-1 career Watley only lost is first professional bout by armbar in 2014 while his amateur record stood at 3-2. Daryl Wilson enters this bout 7-1 with five wins in a row. Wilson started out with two fights in LFA’s predecessor LFC then debuted in this promotion in August where he defeated Jarrod Card by TKO in just 1:04.
The co-main event goes to Ryan Spann vs. Myron Dennis at heavyweight. 15-5 Dennis briefly held the LFC light heavyweight title from the time he defeated UFC vet Paul Buentello until losing it in his first defense against Leo Leite. On TUF Season 23 Dennis defeated Jamelle Jones but lost to Andrew Sanchez while since then he has gone 3-1 with a win over Danilo Marquez in LFA in April, a win over Brandon Groom in August in XFN. 11-5 Spann was last seen in September defeated LeMarcus Tucker by rear-naked choke.
