Tim Williams has signed with the UFC and will make his debut against Oskar Piechota. The middleweight fight will be part of UFC Fight Night 126, which takes place Feb. 18 at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.
Williams competed on the 17th and 19th seasons of “The Ultimate Fighter,” but he never received an invite to the promotion until now. He enters the UFC riding a five-fight winning streak that includes victories over UFC veterans Nah-shon Burrell and Jay Silva. Williams has been competing professionally since 2009 and holds a 15-3 professional record.
Piechota will return to the UFC after picking up a victory in his debut. On the main card of UFC Fight Night 118, the Polish fighter took home a unanimous decision over Jonathan Wilson. The victory improved his record to 10-0-1. This bout will be Piechota’s first professional fight outside of Europe.
In the main event of UFC Fight Night 126, Donald Cerrone will take on Yancy Medeiros. Also on the card, Sage Northcutt makes his return against Thibault Gouti.
