ROAD FC signs legend “Techno Goliath” Choi Hong-Man to fight MMA

Choi Hong-Man signs with Asia's number one MMA league ROAD Fighting Championship

On 26 April, 2015 ROAD FC officially announces that "Techno Goliath" Choi Hong-man has signed a contract to fight.  Choi is one of the most famous Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Artists to come from South Korea.  He stands at a giant 2.18m and possesses the skills to make him a threat to anyone in the cage or ring.  Choi joins the ranks of other legendary Korean MMA fighters now signed with ROAD FC, including Yoon Dong-Sik and Choi Mu-Bae.

Choi started his martial arts career in traditional Korean wrestling.  He won the 2003 Cheonhajangsa Ssireum Championship.  Choi started Kickboxing in K-1 in 2005 and became the K-1 Seoul GP 2005 Champion.  He has notable wins over Semmy Schilt, Gary Goodridge, and Might Mo.  From 2006 to 2009 he fought MMA in K-1, PRIDE and DREAM, against the top fighters Fedor Emelianenko, Mirko Filipovic, and Minowaman.

Choi Hong-Man stated:

Bantamweight Champion Lee Yun-Jun will defend his title for the first time against rising Challenger Mun Je-Hoon at ROAD FC 023.  With Lee's calculating and deadly kicks, and Mun's ferocious striking style, the Bantamweight Championship title defense will be guaranteed to deliver fireworks!

Choi Mu-Bae will make his return to MMA against Lucas Tani. PRIDE veteran Choi will pit his world class Greco Roman wrestling skills against Tani's BJJ accolades.

Song Hyo-Kyung has been injured during training for her fight with Emi Fujino.  Stepping in to face Fujino is Park Jeong-Eun.  Park will be making her professional MMA debut after going 3-0 in ROAD FC's amateur Central League.  She is a Sambo proponent with a record of 5-3.  Park was on the Sambo National Team from 2013-14 and won Bronze at the 2014 Asian Games.  Park is also 9-1 in Kickboxing.

In another Women's Match, surging Kim Ji-Yeon will take on Muay Thai Champion Hatice "The Turkish Delight" Ozyurt.

Fan favorite Nandinerdine "Oka" will welcome "Crying Fist" Season 4 winner Kim Seung-Yeon to the world of professional MMA.

GUMI MMA Coach Lee Chang-Seob will jump back into the cage to challenge himself against Golden Glory proponent Karim Bourarassi of Tatsujin Dojo.
