Phillipe Nover takes on Rick Glenn at UFC 208

Nover VS Glenn

A featherweight matchup between Phillipe Nover (11-7-1) and Rick Glenn (18-4-1) has been added to February’s UFC 208 card. The promotion announced the pairing on Wednesday.

UFC 208 will be held Feb. 11 from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie will face-off for the inaugural UFC women’s featherweight championship in the main event.

Nover comes into the fight on a two-fight skid, most recently dropping a unanimous decision to Renan Barao at UFC Fight Night 95 in September. And before that he dropped a split decision to Zubaira Tukhugov in December 2015. Following a five-year hiatus from the UFC, Nover made his return in May 2015 with a split decision win over Yui Chul Nam at UFC Fight Night 66. The 32-year-old Brooklyn native was a runner-up in The Ultimate Fighter season 8 lightweight tournament back in 2008 and continued to compete in the 155-pound division until his return to the organization last year when he debuted at featherweight.

Glenn was on a three-fight winning streak before dropping his Octagon debut via unanimous decision to Evan Dunham at UFC Fight Night 94 in September. Glenn and Dunham did take home “Fight of the Night” honors, so the extra $50,000 bonus helped ease that pain a bit for Glenn. The 27-year-old Iowa native has been competing professionally since 2006 and won the World Series of Fighting featherweight title in 2014 with a TKO over Georgi Karakhanyan. Ten of Glenn’s 18 wins have been by knockout.

With this addition, UFC 208 now includes:
