Pedro Munhoz will face off against Rob Font. The UFC officially added the bantamweight bout to UFC Fight Night 119, which takes place Oct. 28 at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Munhoz is currently riding a three-fight winning streak that dates back to last year. Since dropping a split decision against Jimmie Rivera at UFC Fight Night 77, the Brazilian has picked up victories over Russell Doane, Justin Scoggins and Damian Stasiak. Prior to signing with the UFC in 2014, Munhoz competed for Resurrection Fighting Alliance where he defeated veteran Jeff Curran for the promotion’s bantamweight title.
Font enters this fight after picking up back-to-back wins over Matt Schnell and Douglas Andrade. The Boston-based fighter joined the UFC in 2014 and has gone 4-1 with his other wins in the promotion coming against George Roop and Joey Gomez.
In the main event of UFC Fight Night 119, former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida will return to action against Derek Brunson in a middleweight bout.
