PANCRASE 293 – 02/04/2018: Bonfim confirmed to take on Nii

Ismael Bonfim

A featherweight bout between Ismael Bonfim and Suguru Nii was added to Pancrase 293.

The promotion announced this fight on Thursday.

Bonfim is a 22-year old Brazilian with pro MMA record of 11-3.

He was supposed to fight Juntaro Ushiku in December but the fight was canceled due to the injury by the Japanese fighter.

Bonfim is currently riding on a five-fight win streak with three KO’s. He is the team mate of Viviane Araujo Gomes that KO’d Ayaka Miura in Pancrase 290.

Nii is on a three-fight losing streak, In fact he is 1-4 in last five fights.

In 2017, he lost to Kyle Aguon, Kyosuke Yokohama and Yojiro Uchimura.

So this is fight can actually consider as lopsided match-up but its a good fight for Bonfim because winning this fight probably would lead the Brazilian to a fight against a ranked fighter in later part of year 2018.
