If you are going to put on a pay-per-view in this day and age you should have acard that appeals to the widest range of sports fans possible and that isexactly what Shine Fights 3 “Worlds Collide: Mayorga vs. Thomas” does.  The event takes place May 15th at the CrownColiseum in Fayetteville, NC.  Thepay-per-view “on cable and satellite in the United States and Canada” startingat 9 PM costs $29.95.

The main event features former WBA/WBC welterweight champion and former WBCjunior middleweight champion Ricardo Mayorga making debut against nine-time UFCvet Din Thomas, a fight that could be exciting if Mayorga can defend againstThomas’ more well-rounded skills or it could be as one-sided as Thomas’ lastfight in January.

In what is likely going to be a more competitive fight but equally as appealingto non-MMA fans 2009 ADCC Absolute Champion Braulio Estima makes his MMA debutagainst former Olympic judo competitor Rick Hawn who is 5-0 in MMA.  Hawn most recently defeated Tom Gallicchio inWCF in February.
