SHOOTO – 01/18/2009: ‘Kotetsu Boku Back in Shooto!’

On November 29, Shoot revealed three fight cards for the first show of the year 2009 scheduled to be held at Differ Ariake in Tokyo. A veteran Kotetsu Boku will be back in Shooto. Boku left Shooto after defeating Ryan Bow in 2005 and went on to fight in K-1 HERO’S. He defeated two big names, Hermes Franca and Alexandre Franca Nogueira in HERO’S but never got a call from K-1 in 2007 so competed in Cage Force lightweight tournament. Boku made it to the final and lost to Artur Oumakhanov in a split decision. However Boku got a call from DREAM but couldn’t capitalize on this opportunity. He was basically schooled by Joachim Hansen and that put him out of the DREAM lightweight GP. Next year Boku will be back in Shooto and he would take on Yusuke Endo from GOKITA GYM. Boku told the reporters, "I had a terrible performance in March but definitely I am much stronger now. I will show that in this fight."
