New Jersey Martial Arts Hall of Fame to honor Chris Weidman as Fighter of the Year

(New Jersey) – The New Jersey Martial Arts Hall of Fame is extremely proud of its third class of inductees to the New Jersey Martial Arts Hall of Fame. This class will be honored at the third dinner gala to be held at the beautiful La Quinta Inns & Suites on December 5, 2014.

On December 5th, Chris Weidman will be inducted as the Fighter of the Year.

Chris Weidman was 4 time All American wrestler. He is undefeated as a mixed martial arts fighter with a 12-0 PRO MMA record. Before entering the UFC he was the Ring of Combat champion. He ended former UFC Middle Weight Champion Andersons Silva's 17 fight win streak and became the new Middle Weight Champion.

Since then he has two title defenses and is still the UFC Middle Weight Champion of the world.

Chris lives in Dix Hills, NY with his wife is Marivi and their two children.
