Krzysztof Jotko welcomes David Branch back to the octagon at UFC 211

Poland’s Krzysztof Jotko (19-1) will welcome David Branch (20-3) back to the octagon when the two middleweights square off at UFC 211 in Texas. The bout was announced by the organization this week.

UFC 211 will take place May 13 from American Airlines Center in Dallas. Stipe Miocic defends his heavyweight title against Junior Dos Santos in the main event, while Joanna Jędrzejczyk defends her strawweight belt against Jéssica Andrade in the co-main event.

Jotko is riding a five-fight winning streak and is coming off a unanimous decision over Thales Leites at UFC Fight Night 100 in November. Prior to that he won a “Performance of the Night” bonus for knocking out Tamdan McCrory in the first round in June of last year. The 27-year-old TriStar product’s current win streak also includes victories over Tor Troeng, Scott Askham and Brad Scott and he holds an overall UFC record of 6-1.

Branch makes his return to the organization following a four-year unbeaten streak in the WSOF organization where he won middleweight and light heavyweight titles. Branch most recently defended his WSOF middleweight title with fifth-round submission win over Louis Taylor at WSOF 34 in December. The 35-year-old New York native last defended his WSOF light heavyweight title this past October when he won a unanimous decision over Vinny Magalhaes at WSOF 33. Branch previously went 2-2 inside the octagon during a four-fight stint with the UFC back in 2010-2011.
