DEEP OSAKA IMPACT – 04/28/2013: Ikemoto’s Retirement Match Is Against Chonan!

This is going to be first fight in 16 months for Ryo Chonan but he is determined to do a hard fight against Seiichi IkemotoA former DEEP welterweight champion, Seichi Ikemoto, is going to retire from MMA, and his last bout will be held on April 28th in his hometown Osaka.

But this is not going to be an exhibition fight to celebrate his career instead Ikemoto is going to face a tough fighter named Ryo Chonan,

Chonan used to be DEEP middleweight champion but he is way more than that. Chonan fought for both PRIDE and UFC, and faced many top fighters from all over the world.

Chonan recently opened his own gym in Tokyo so he hasn't fought since December 2011 but its doesn't mean he is out of shape.

Chonan's gym is one of the best environments in Tokyo for MMA fighters so we can assume Chonan would have no problem getting a proper training for this fight.

This fight was announced at the DEEP 61 show held last week at Korakuen Hall, and Chonan stepped into the ring just to say one word, "I am going to kill him." Even though this is Ikemoto's retirement bout Chonan has no intension to be soft. In fact, Chonan is ready for a war.
