DEEP 82 – 02/24/2018: Three Fights Added Including Hasegawa vs Hayashi at 185 lbs

Three fights are added to DEEP 82.

The promotion announced this on Wednesday.

Ken Hasegawa is going back up at 185 lbs and will take on Genpei Hayashi.

Hasegawa fought Ryuichirou Sumiura for a vacant DEEP welterweight title in July of last year. He was knocked out by an accidental head butt in the first round. This fight should have been no contest now but last year DEEP was still under the old rules where if anything happens in any rounds, then judges would score the fight till that point to determine the winner. So, even though this head butt took place at 3 minutes and 48 seconds of the first round, Hasegawa had to swallow L on his record.

Hayashi used to fight at 155 but he went up to 185 to fight ONE veteran Tatsuya Mizuno last year. Hayashi lost this fight via unanimous decision but this was a close fight so he can be considered as a legit middleweight as well.

Since Mizuno and Taisuke Okuno is fighting for DEEP middleweight title in the same event, the winner of this fight might fight in the middleweight title fight sometime later this year.

Also, Koichi ishizuka, who fought Hiroto Uesako back in July for the DEEP featherweight title, is now back to the bantamweight and will fight Kazuhide Shirota.

Finally, a 17-year old undefeated flyweight Makoto Takahashi is going to face a 16-fight veteran Kota Ishibashi.
